Home Remedies: The 3 Sparkling Teeth Secrets
According to a recent study, teeth are a standout feature that greatly affects in making a good impression. The result of the study show that it is very important to have an attractive and healthy when it comes to socializing face-to-face or virtually as it has effects on how others perceive about you. Having said that, I bet everyone would agree with me that we find it really attractive to see someone with sparkling smile.
There are actually a lot of ways to achieve that picture-perfect sparkling smile, and guess what? You can even find it at home! Here are some natural remedies you can try:
The Magic Paste: Baking Soda & Lemon Juice
Baking soda is known to be one of the most effective stain remover available at home. It also helps balance the PH level of a very acidic mouth (due to intake of acidic foods) as it is very alkaline. Lemon juice is also a natural bleaching substance. You might wonder why baking soda is paired with lemon juice if baking soda can do the job alone, well, l believe that two is better than one. Just mix several teaspoons of baking soda and an ample amount of lemon juice, and tadaaa! Be sure to leave the paste on your teeth for about 1-3 minutes before rinsing for better results.
The Magic Scrub: Strawberry & Salt
Known to be high in Vitamin C, strawberries help break down plaque which is one of the main problem causing teeth discoloration. Its enzyme called malic acid works as a natural bleach which removes surface stains. Salt being the “solid” part of the scrub, serves as the abrasive portion which physically scrubs away stains & plaques. Salt also helps revive the teeth’s white color and replenish its lost mineral content. Just mix 1-3 mashed strawberries and a pinch of salt and there you have your magic scrub. Make sure to let the mixture set for 5 minutes on your teeth, you can achieve a better result if you make this a nightly routine.
The Magic Powder: Holy Basil
Holy basil are known to have whitening properties. Aside from this, it can also help protect your teeth from inflammatory diseases such as pyorrhea and more. This may sound old school but in order to create this magic powder, dry a few leaves of holy basil under the sun for about a few hours until it is “crispy” dry. Grind them until it reach its powdery form. You can mix it to your regular toothpaste and brush your teeth. You may also mix it with mustard oil.
